Editorial verdict

Saviynt takes a different approach than pure PAM vendors by converging identity governance, cloud entitlement management, and privileged access in one platform. The IGA heritage means access certification, SOD controls, and Workday/SAP/Oracle integration are genuinely stronger than any dedicated PAM vendor. For organisations where governance and compliance are as important as privileged access control, this is a meaningful differentiator.

The trade-off is that core PAM depth, particularly credential vaulting and session recording, is less mature than CyberArk or BeyondTrust. Saviynt is primarily an IGA platform with PAM capabilities, not a PAM platform with IGA capabilities.

The verdict: Saviynt is right for large enterprises wanting to consolidate IGA and PAM in one platform, particularly those running SAP, Oracle, or Workday. Organisations whose primary need is mature privileged access control should evaluate CyberArk or BeyondTrust.
