Editorial verdict

Arctic Wolf has achieved something rare in the MDR market: 100% willingness to recommend in Gartner Peer Insights Voice of the Customer 2025. The Concierge Security Team model, a named dedicated team for every customer, is the structural reason buyers stay and refer. It is the only MDR vendor that will ingest telemetry from competitor EDR products without requiring replacement, making it genuinely tool-agnostic in a way most MDR vendors are not.

The limitation is the response model. Arctic Wolf guides customers through containment rather than taking direct action - the customer executes the response steps. For organisations wanting fully managed autonomous response, CrowdStrike or SentinelOne Vigilance are stronger.

The verdict: Arctic Wolf is right for mid-market organisations wanting dedicated named analysts, genuine tool agnosticism, and the strongest customer satisfaction record in the category. It is not the right choice for organisations wanting fully autonomous response without human approval in the loop.

MDR / Managed SOC assessment

PROTECTIONStrong
Detection fidelity
4 / 5

Strong detection across endpoint, network, cloud, and identity. Scored 4 rather than 5 because Arctic Wolf uses a proprietary sensor stack rather than integrating with best-of-breed detection sources, which can limit fidelity for non-standard environments.

Response capability
4 / 5

Dedicated Concierge Security Team (CST) provides personalised response guidance. Scored 4 rather than 5 because Arctic Wolf guides customers through response rather than taking direct action — customer must execute containment steps in most scenarios.

OPERATIONSStrong
Tool integration
5 / 5

Genuinely tool-agnostic — explicitly designed to work alongside any existing security stack. One of the only MDR vendors that will ingest telemetry from competitor EDR products without requiring replacement.

Service transparency
5 / 5

Only MDR vendor to achieve 100% willingness to recommend in Gartner Peer Insights Voice of the Customer 2025. Dedicated named CST for every customer is a structural transparency advantage.

ANALYTICSStrong
Threat visibility
4 / 5

Good coverage across endpoint, cloud, and identity. Proprietary SIEM means visibility is Arctic Wolf controlled rather than customer accessible in raw form. Some customers report this limits their own threat hunting capability.

Analyst recognition
4 / 5

Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader for MDR. Consistent Customers Choice recognition. Not yet the furthest Leader on Completeness of Vision.
